"It is only when all the colours in the light mix together that we get the colourless rays of the sun. Similarly by the very virtue of being the abode of attributes, God becomes Nirguna, attribute-less."

Despite the unprecedented spurt of development in Gurgaon, a very important aspect of human life was not adequately addressed. Gurgaon lacked a worthy religious, cultural , charitable and spiritual centre. The people of Gurgaon felt the need for a sanctum where they can worship, meditate and find inner peace.

An island of spiritual calm

In an endeavour to fill this spiritual gap, some of the leading residents of Gurgaon took the initiative of forming the Shri Siddhi Ganesha Cultural Society (registered under the Societies Registration Act of 1860). Since its inception, the Society has been engaged in many religious, social and community development and charitable activities; however, the establishment of a Temple has been one of its most important goals. It is a matter of great joy for the Society to be able to announce that efforts in this direction has really paid off, thus benefitting the devotees at Gurgaon.

HUDA had very kindly allotted a Religious Site measuring 0.20 acres (about 1000 sq. yards) in DLF Phase IV (opposite the DLF Galleria Complex) to Sri Kanchi Sankaracharya Srimatam Samasthanam for the purpose of constructing a Temple. The project was conceived and implemented by the Kanchi Srimatam with the close involvement and support of local institutions and residents under the over all management of the Shri Siddhi Ganesha Cultural Society.

A dream takes shape

The temple was constructed under the guidance, support and supervision of His Holiness Jayendra Saraswathi Swamigal and His Holiness Vijayendra Saraswathi Swamigal , Sankaracharyas of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam, Kanchipuram. Steps were taken by Shri Siddhi Ganesha Cultural Society, Gurgaon, to raise resources, establish, support and manage the Temple.

The religious complex is much more than a Temple- it is a centre for spiritual fulfillment and various religious activities. It is a place of Bhakti, education and tranquility where common people gathers to meditate, worship and cleanse their souls in an environment of peace and love.
